Metal-Diazo Radicals of α-Carbonyl Diazomethanes
Metal-diazo radicals of α-carbonyl diazomethanes are new members of the radical family and are precursors to metal-carbene radicals. Herein, using electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy with spin-trapping, we detect diazo radicals of α-carbonyl diazomethanes, induced by [Rh(I)Cl(cod)]2, [Co(II)(por)] and PdCl2, at room temperature. The unique quintet signal of the Rh-diazo radical was obs...
متن کاملTransition metal carbonyl oestrogen receptor assay
Hormonal steroids, such as 17 -estradio1 derivatives, labelled with organometallic moieties have been synthesized and tested as markers for hormone receptor assay. Among the organometallic labels used were : Cr(C0) and Cr(C0)9(CS) which5can be attached to the arene A ring of the sterid ; Co9(C06 and Mo(rì -CH)9(C0)4 which can be bonded to acetylenic groups introduced at the 17c-p6sWton o the fl...
متن کاملElectrospray mass spectrometry of metal carbonyl complexes †
Methods are described for characterising neutral metal carbonyl complexes using electrospray mass spectrometry, by converting them into ions with suitable reagents. Ionisation techniques included addition of OMe generating [M 1 OMe] species, addition of Ag or Na ions giving the appropriate positive ion, abstraction of acidic hydrogen forming [M 2 H] ions, or (in rare cases) oxidation giving rad...

متن کاملLuminescence of the nonclassical homoleptic metal carbonyl complex [Rh(CO4]+.
The nonclassical [Rh(CO)(4)](+) cation is luminescent at low temperature with a peak maximum at 19640 cm(-1) and a full-width at half-maximum of 2900 cm(-1). Both the solution absorption and low-temperature solid-state luminescence spectra of the [Rh(CO)(4)](1-Et-CB(11)F(11)) salt are reported. The cesium salt of the [1-Et-CB(11)F(11)](-) counterion is also luminescent (with a peak maximum at 2...
